Expiation for Swearing by Divorce

Your Eminence! There is a man who asks: he divorced his wife,So he said: saying, “I divorce you—my wife—if what you say is true; I will sell the car and buy gold with its price for you.” But it turned out that what she said was true, and the man is unable to sell the car. What is your opinion in this?First: We tell him: Swearing by other than Allah is not permissible. He must fear Allah (Mighty and Majestic), repent to Allah for this, feed ten poor people, and the matter is concluded. He must not return to doing this.
