Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (And We sent down iron, in which is great might)

Allah the Exalted said:
And We sent down iron, wherein is great military might and benefits for the peopleوَأَنْزَلْنَا الْحَدِيدَ فِيهِ بَأْسٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ
[Al-Hadid: 25] (We sent down iron) meaning: We created it for them from the minerals,And some scholars derived from His saying: (We sent down iron) implies that a mineral found in the peaks of mountains is stronger and more beneficial than one found in the lower regions, because descent is only from above. Allah knows best. This pertains to the science of geology. However, (We sent down) means: We placed iron for them, which is a well-known mineral and one of the strongest.

His statement:
wherein is great military mightفِيهِ بَأْسٌ شَدِيدٌ
[Al-Hadid 57:25]
Great might in war; swords, daggers, and all instruments of war are made from it. It is mentioned after the mention of the Books because religion does not stand except through this: calling to it and fighting. If the disbelievers refuse to let the religion of Allah be supreme, they are then fought, and with what? With iron. (In which is great might) meaning: in war.
