Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (Tomorrow they will know who is the lying, arrogant one)
Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Qamar: 26] Tomorrow they will know, when? On the Day of Resurrection. The letter "sin" here indicates certainty and nearness;Because if you say: Zayd will stand up.
So this is also an affirmation and an indication of nearness. If someone were to say: The certainty is known to be a truth, that the Hour is coming with no doubt in it, but how is the nearness? We said: Allah says: [Al-Ahzab: 63] , [Al-Shura: 17] And among the passing proverbs is: Every coming thing is near.
The one for whom a thousand years remain is nearer than the one for whom only ten minutes have passed, because the one for whom ten minutes have passed cannot return,But the future must come: [Al-An'am: 134] .
So (they will know) the "sin" here indicates certainty and nearness: [Al-Qamar: 26] Tomorrow is the Day of Resurrection. It is called "tomorrow" because it comes after your day. They will know who is the lying, arrogant one. So who is it now? Is it the people of Salih or the people of Thamud? It is the people of Thamud. On the Day of Resurrection, they will know who is the lying, arrogant one: is it Salih who is the lying, arrogant one, or are they? And this is a great warning: [Al-Shu'ara: 227] Man is heedless of this great day.Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Mu'minun: 63] Meaning: Rather, their hearts are in a state of being covered from the work of the Hereafter: [Al-Mu'minun: 63] Meaning: They work for the deeds of this world. He used a nominal sentence,Meaning: indicating that they are certain in their work in it, they do not leave it nor neglect it. As for the Hereafter, they are heedless of it.
Allah the Exalted said:
They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar.
سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَداً مَنِ الْكَذَّابُ الْأَشِرُSo this is also an affirmation and an indication of nearness. If someone were to say: The certainty is known to be a truth, that the Hour is coming with no doubt in it, but how is the nearness? We said: Allah says:
And what may make you perceive? Perhaps the Hour is near."
وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّ السَّاعَةَ تَكُونُ قَرِيباًAnd what will make you perceive? Perhaps the Hour is near.
وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّ السَّاعَةَ قَرِيبٌThe one for whom a thousand years remain is nearer than the one for whom only ten minutes have passed, because the one for whom ten minutes have passed cannot return,But the future must come:
Indeed, what you are promised is coming
إِنَّ مَا تُوعَدُونَ لَآتٍSo (they will know) the "sin" here indicates certainty and nearness:
