The Response to Those Who Say That Allah Is Neither Inside the World Nor Outside It

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Now, there are Muslims in this time who fear their Lord, not from above them, nor from below them, nor from their right, nor from any of the known directions you may mention. This is because they say about their Lord that Allah is neither inside the world nor outside the world. So, young men, this is... existing or... missing.
The student : He is missing.

The Shaykh : A thing that is neither inside the world nor outside the world—there must be a person among you who is rational and perceptive, if not every one of you is so, who can answer the following question: Describe for us the non-existent thing. The non-existent thing is nothing. Is this nothing inside the world? The answer will be no. Is it outside the world? The answer will be no. So, what do you say about one who says, in their wording, that it is neither inside the world nor outside it, and says that it is neither connected to it nor separated from it? May Allah have mercy on the one who said: "These are a people who have lost their Lord," "These are a people who have lost their Lord."
