The Reality of the Prohibited Throwing

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Your Eminence! Is every form of throwing forbidden, or is it not?
The Shaykh : Competing in throwing stones and lifting heavy weights is permissible; it is among the permissible things, but on the condition that there is no danger.
The Shaykh : As for throwing a pebble when there are people sitting or standing around where it is being thrown, that is not allowed; it is dangerous, because the hand may slip and hit one of the people in front; but if the matter is safe from fear, there is no harm.
The Shaykh : As for the throwing that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade, he informed that it does not wound an enemy, and they were using small pebbles. For this reason, Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said in describing the pebbles for stoning the pillars, "like the pebbles of throwing, small, placed between the fingers and thrown by a person. The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said about these: (They do not wound an enemy; but they break a tooth and pop out an eye) And as for what you mentioned, that is from the category of permissible competitions.
