Exegesis of Verses from Surat al-Hadid

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and the Imam of the righteous, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment. To proceed: This is the two hundred and eleventh session of the sessions known as: (The Open Door), which take place every Thursday, and this Thursday is the seventeenth of the month of Rabi' al-Awwal of the year (1420 AH).
We begin this session with what we have been accustomed to beginning with, which is tafsir (Qur'anic exegesis), as Allah Mighty and Majestic facilitates, because the knowledge of tafsir is the most noble of the sciences; for it pertains to the greatest of books, which is the Noble Qur'an, and knowledge is noble by the nobility of what is known. The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) did not move on from ten verses until they had learned them and the knowledge and practice contained therein. They said: So we learned the Qur'an, the knowledge, and the practice all together. A student of knowledge should pay attention to tafsir and understand the Book of Allah Mighty and Majestic so that he may act upon it, because it is not possible to act except after knowing the prohibition, and acting upon the Qur'an is obligatory. It is obligatory for us to know its meaning. So my advice to students of knowledge is to pay complete attention to the tafsir of the Book of Allah Mighty and Majestic, and if it is possible for them to memorize it, that is more complete and better.
