The necessity of determining the wage of the worker

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
A man built a house for nine hundred thousand riyals, but the construction was not completed. The owner had no money, so he put the house on the market, but it did not sell. Then other people came and offered an additional amount to complete the construction, on the condition that in selling the completed house, they would share the profit equally with the owner. Is this permissible?
This is not permissible because it is unknown. They must agree to complete the house for a specific amount. If they agree on a specific amount, the matter is settled, and the profit belongs to the owner.

The questioner: Does the owner stipulate that they get (5%) of the profit? The Shaykh: Absolutely not. The owner says, "Complete the remainder, for example, for ten thousand or twenty thousand, a fixed amount."

The questioner: So they pay, say, one hundred thousand to complete it, and he tells them, "You get ten thousand extra"?The Shaykh: He agrees with this person to complete the construction for ten thousand, or one hundred thousand, or one million. After the completion, he pays him his wage, and it is over.
