The Meaning of the Attribute of Boredom

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
O Shaykh! May Allah reward you with good: We are speaking about the attributes of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), some of which, if they were to be in a created being, would be a defect, such as the attribute of boredom. Can we say: This is an attribute that is unique to Allah (Mighty and Majestic).Or do we say: Right?
We get bored and we get fed up, and things become difficult for us, but our Lord (Mighty and Majestic) does not get bored as we do. His boredom is unique to Him, and we are unable to ask how it is.
Like anger, for example. When a person gets angry, he acts rashly; perhaps he divorces his wives, beats his children, and breaks his utensils. But does the anger of Allah necessitate this? It does not necessitate it. You must know that all the attributes that Allah has affirmed for Himself and His Messenger are obligatory. It is not permissible for anyone to distort the words from their places on the pretext that: this is a defect for us. It is a defect for us, but it is not a defect for Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Tyranny and arrogance are a bad character trait for us, but for Allah, they are perfection. As Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said:
The Compeller, the Arrogantالْجَبَّارُ الْمُتَكَبِّرُ
[Al-Hashr: 23] .
