The Shaykh: Yes.
The questioner: Peace be upon you.
The Shaykh: And upon you peace.
The questioner : If you permit it, O Shaykh, I would like to ask you this question?
The Shaykh: Go ahead.
The questioner : A man entered and found the imam had combined the prayers and was praying the last of the night prayer, so the man stood and prayed alone, then he joined the imam to pray the last of the night prayer. What is the ruling on the prayer?
The Shaykh : His prayer is valid, but he has committed a sin.
The questioner : Why?
The Shaykh : Because he prayed the sunset prayer alone, and he should have prayed the sunset prayer behind the imam. When the imam concluded the prayer, he should have stood up and performed the last of the night prayer.
The questioner : May Allah reward you with good. Another question.
The Shaykh : There is no other question.
