A village with one mosque containing a grave: is it permissible to pray in it?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: Peace be upon you.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace and the mercy of Allah.

The questioner : And by Allah, there is a question, Shaykh, please. There is a residential community for Muslims, and there is only one mosque in it.

The Shaykh : How?

The questioner : A residential community for Muslims, housing for Muslims, there is only one mosque in it, and this mosque is built next to a cemetery. In fact, we found a number of graves in front of the mihrab. So, do they pray in it, or do the residents of the neighborhood pray individually? Some mosques are far from the area.

The Shaykh : They do not pray in it, and they do not pray individually.

The questioner : May Allah reward you, they pray in it!

The Shaykh : No, no, I did not hear you.

The questioner : They do not pray in it, and they do not pray individually. Where do they pray?

The Shaykh : Rather, they pray together, even if it is in the home of one of them.

The questioner : And if that is difficult?

The Shaykh : Until they are able to build a mosque, and this is obligatory upon them.

The questioner : Yes, but if this matter becomes difficult, due to the presence of hardship for some or a lack of Islamic understanding.

The Shaykh : It does not become difficult for two or three Muslims, and the intention is not that all the Muslims gather, because in a mosque where there is no issue, they do not all gather, and
you are not held responsible except for yourself لا تُكَلَّفُ إِلَّا نَفْسَكَ
[An-Nisa 4:84]
.

The questioner : Even if gathering is difficult, does he pray individually and not in the mosque?

The Shaykh : Yes, but we are not satisfied with the idea that we do not pray in the mosque on the basis that I will pray individually. Rather, we work to call those who we think will respond to us, so that they do not pray in this mosque and pray in the home of one of these good Muslims.

The questioner : May Allah reward you.

The Shaykh : That is to say, it is not befitting for us to be satisfied with merely smuggling them out of this mosque, and it does not suffice for each person to pray at home out of laziness, because the prayer in this mosque is not valid. Rather, these people must strive and gather two or three in any place, and after that, Allah will create what you do not know.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : And you as well.
