A word by the Shaykh on the meanings of the Khutbat al-Hajah.
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : All praise is due to Allah; we praise Him, seek His help, and seek His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our own selves and from the evil of our deeds. Whomsoever Allah guides, none can misguide; and whomsoever He leaves to misguide, none can guide. And I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. May Allah send blessings and peace upon him, his family, and his Companions, and upon those who follow them in excellence until the Day of Judgment. As for what follows:
The introduction to our gathering this month, the month of Jumada al-Ula, is to speak about the meanings of this sermon, which is called the Khutbat al-Hajah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught it to his Companions, and they would begin with it every matter of importance. The Khutbat al-Hajah is what you have heard: "All praise is due to Allah; we praise Him, seek His help, and seek His forgiveness?"
