Exhorting one another to truth and exhorting one another to patience.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The third characteristic:
and enjoin upon one another truth وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ
For example, one says to his brother, having seen him falling short in some of the obligatory duties: "I advise you to fear Allah, I advise you to fulfill the obligation, I advise you to be dutiful to your parents, I advise you to maintain ties with your relatives, I advise you to seek knowledge, and the like. This is the truth.
and enjoin one another to patience وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ
And they enjoin upon one another patience: patience in obeying Allah, patience in refraining from disobeying Allah, and patience with the decrees of Allah. As for patience in obedience: if you see your brother being lazy about prayer, for example, advise him. And if he says to you, "By Allah, sleep overcomes me," say to him: "Be patient, be patient, even if it is difficult for you. Today it is difficult for you, but tomorrow it will not be difficult." Patience is also required in refraining from sin. For example, if a person intends to commit a sin and comes to tell his brother, say to him: "Be patient, count it as a reward, and wait for relief from Allah." If your brother comes to you complaining, saying, "So-and-so, by Allah, used to harm me and tire me out," what do you say to him? What? Say: "Be patient, for the permanence of a state is impossible. If you are patient with his harm now, Allah will turn his heart toward you:
And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend.
[Fussilat 41:34]
meaning: a close friend. Therefore, among the winners are those who enjoin upon one another patience and truth. We ask Allah the Exalted to make us and you among them. And we will stop here, because I think there are many questions.
