The obligation of students of knowledge is to direct the Muslim community to thank Allah for these two blessings.

The Shaykh : O my brothers, it is upon the youth, especially those whom Allah has granted wakefulness in this time and much knowledge that you hardly heard of before, that they direct the Muslim community to thank Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for these two blessings: the blessing of Islam and the blessing of tranquility. They should lead them to what is in their good, and they should not despair or give up. Indeed, some of the youth today are in conflict within themselves, in conflict with their families, and in conflict with their peers and counterparts. However, they must be patient and persevere, and they should employ wisdom in what they do in directing creation to the religion of the Creator (Mighty and Majestic).
It is upon the youth who have now taken this good, beneficial direction that they perform what is required of them in directing the Muslim community to wise leadership based on knowledge and insight: knowledge of the religion of Allah, and insight in enlightening the servants of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) so that matters are completed.
And if we see, O my brothers, in days like these, the large number of people in the Sacred Mosque, they did not come to gain anything from this world, but they came to gain something of the reward of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and of obedience to Him. This brings us great joy. But if we see much ignorance in this gathering, that saddens us. Why? Because we do not know if this is a shortcoming on the part of the students of knowledge, or a shortcoming on the part of the common people who do not pay attention to seeking knowledge and want to follow what their fathers did, whether it was right or wrong. Nevertheless, I hope that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) will make among our cultured, knowledgeable youth, whom Allah has given light and insight, praise be to Allah, a wise leadership for this community, but with calmness and tranquility.
