Warning against extravagance and waste in Ramadan.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Likewise, people have expanded their extravagance even in lighting, lighting up their houses, lighting up their houses, lighting up their shops, placing lamps on their shops as if they were wedding palaces. Why? Is there not a waste of money in this? Answer, everyone. Yes, there is a waste of money, for what reason? Moreover, it also places a burden on the public electrical power, which is feared to shorten the lifespan of the machines, because the more these equipment and machines are burdened, the closer they get to their end, without a doubt. So why do we burden ourselves with expenses and burden the electrical currents with a heavy load? For no benefit, what is the benefit? And likewise in the houses, even though Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says in praising the servants of the Merciful:
And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا أَنْفَقُوا لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا
[Al-Furqan 25:67]
And what else?
or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ قَوَامًا
[Al-Furqan 25:67]
. Glory be to Allah! Look, extravagance is one extreme, stinginess is the other, and there is a gap between them. He says:
moderate between them بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ قَوَامًا
. Sometimes they lean toward stinginess because the interest requires it. Sometimes they lean toward increase because the interest requires it. But look at His saying:
between them وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ
it is not in vain
moderate قَوَامًا
by which things are set right.
