Is the decline in doing good deeds after Ramadan a sign that they were not accepted? I feel a decline and I fear that Allah has not accepted from me.

The questioner : The questioner says: May the Shaykh tell us, is the decline in doing good deeds after Ramadan a sign that they were not accepted? I feel a decline and I fear that Allah has not accepted from me?

The Shaykh : No, this is not a sign that Allah has not accepted from you. But it is a sign of weak resolve and lack of desire. Therefore, a person should encourage himself and urge himself to do good deeds, because Ramadan is, in reality, a school. Thirty days, or twenty-nine days, pass by while you are engaged in various acts of worship. It must have an effect on your heart and your conduct. So seize this opportunity. As for saying that one who returns to sins after Ramadan is showing a sign of non-acceptance, we cannot say that. Yes.
