The Shaykh : In this session, we will speak briefly about the decline of some people in righteous deeds when the month of Ramadan ends.
The truth is that Ramadan is a season, and it is the nature of human beings in seasons to become more active, whether they are religious or worldly seasons. This is something innate in people and cannot be denied. However, the important thing is that we do not return to sins after we have done what we ask Allah the Exalted to make an expiation for our bad deeds. We must not return to them, because returning to sin after the erasure of sins is a severe matter. It is obligatory for Muslims in general, it is obligatory for them to fear Allah the Exalted in themselves and to fulfill what Allah has made obligatory upon them after Ramadan just as they fulfilled it during Ramadan, and to leave what Allah has forbidden them after Ramadan just as they left it during Ramadan. This is the obligation, for Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has made these seasons a means of activating resolve and encouraging work, not that the work ends when they end. Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, said: meaning: until death comes to you. Al-Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Indeed, Allah has not made for the believer a deed that ends before death, then he recited this verse: " Then, among the blessings of Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, is that the righteous deeds prescribed for us in Ramadan remain prescribed at all times. Fasting is prescribed at all times, the beginning of which is following Ramadan with six days of Shawwal. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih Muslim 1164a It is also prescribed that a person fast three days of every month, for fasting three days of every month is equivalent to fasting the entire year. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Riyad as-Salihin 1260
Likewise, the fasting of the white days specifically, which are the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth of every month.
And likewise, the fasting of Mondays and Thursdays of every week. And the best fasting is to fast one day and leave one day. The best of fasting is the fasting of Dawud, who used to fast one day and leave one day. This is better than sticking to Mondays and Thursdays, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan an-Nasa'i 2389Sahih (Darussalam) So, if it happens that your fasting is on Sunday and Tuesday, and you break your fast on Monday, then this is better than fasting on Monday. But the question remains: if the day of breaking the fast happens to be Monday, do we say: fast it because it is Monday, even if it disrupts the pattern of fasting one day and breaking the fast the next? Or do we say: the best is to proceed with fasting one day and breaking the fast the next, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sunan an-Nasa'i 2389Sahih (Darussalam) And because there is rest for the body in that. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) specified this after he saw the resolve of 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As to fast more than that, but he did not permit him to do more than this; rather, he directed him to the best. A person hesitates in this, meaning: is it better if Monday happens to be your day of breaking the fast that you fast it or not? It appears to me that you do not fast it, as long as you have arranged yourself to fast one day and break the fast the next. This is the good, and it is the best of fasting, and it provides rest for the soul.
As for standing in prayer, standing in prayer is also still prescribed, and praise be to Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us, in what is famous or mass-transmitted from him,Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3498Sahih (Darussalam) He descends to the lowest heaven. He descends in reality, as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), the truthful and veracious, spoke. But His descent is not like the descent of the created; rather, it is a descent befitting His Majesty and Greatness, which does not contradict His Perfection at all. It does not follow from His descent to the lowest heaven that the second heaven and what is above it are above Him. This is impossible, for Allah the Exalted has absolute elevation in every state, and because He, Glorified and Exalted is He, is established upon His Throne. But we believe that it is a real descent attributed to Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, without addressing the manner. He, Glorified and Exalted is He, descends every night when the last third of the night remains, and in every place according to its condition. The last third of the night here in the Kingdom may be the last third of the day in another country, but every country has its ruling. He, Mighty and Majestic, descends and says: Sahih al-Bukhari 1145 When this nearness to Allah, Mighty and Majestic, is combined with the nearness of the servant to his Lord while he is prostrating, as the Prophet (may Allah’s prayer and peace be upon him) said: Sunan Abi Dawud 875Sahih (Al-Albani) There is thereby a nearness: the nearness of the Lord, Mighty and Majestic, and the nearness of whom? And the nearness of the prostrator. Therefore, a person should increase in supplication during his prostration in the last third of the night, because that is closer to being answered, without a doubt.
I say: standing in prayer is still prescribed, and praise be to Allah. Standing in prayer does not end with Ramadan, and it is in every night. And there are other acts of worship that are a cause for the expiation of sins and the raising of ranks, which are not specific to fasting or standing in prayer in Ramadan. Therefore, I ask Allah the Exalted to help me and you in His remembrance, His gratitude, and the excellence of His worship. We should seize these opportunities before the time passes, and a person does not know when his time will pass. How many people are walking and fall dead, and how many people are in their beds and are not woken up except dead, and how many people are at their food and do not get full until they die. And there is no document with a person that he will not die except at a specific time. So it is upon us, O brothers, to seize the opportunities as long as we are in the time of possibility, and the matter is easy, and praise be to Allah. All of Islam, from its beginning to its end, is easy and facilitated. Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Baqarah 2:185] And He said: [Al-Ma'idah 5:6] And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sunan an-Nasa'i 5034Sahih (Darussalam) And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said while sending people: It is all easy, but because good has obstacles from the self and from Satan, the Satan of mankind and the Satan of the jinn, it became heavy upon the souls. But read the saying of Allah the Exalted: And ask Allah the Exalted to make the easy path easy for you, for Allah the Exalted is near and responsive. And here ends this brief statement, which I ask Allah the Exalted to benefit me and you with. And we move on to the questions. We start with the oaths. We start with the guests first, then the residents second, because if the residents prioritize themselves, they will have good. Yes.

وَاعْبُدْ رَبَّكَ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَكَ الْيَقِينُHe who observed the fast of Ramadan and then followed it with six (fasts) of Shawwal. it would be as if he fasted perpetually.

So he brought him with him and (the Prophet) said: How do you fast? I said: "Every day." He said: "Fast three days of every month." I said: "I am able to do better than that." He said: "Fast for two days, and break your fast for one day." He said; "I am able to do better than that". He said: "Observe the best of fasts, the fast of Dawud, peace be upon him: Fasting for one day and breaking the fast for one day." 'Ata said: "someone who heard him told me that Ibn 'Umar (said) that the Prophet said: 'Whoever fasts every day of his life, then he has not fasted."

Our Lord descends every night to the nearest heaven, until the last third of the night remains
أن ربنا عز وجل ينزل كل ليلة إلى السماء الدنيا حين يبقى ثلث الليل الآخرIs there anyone to invoke Me, so that I may respond to invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me, so that I may grant him his request? Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him?
من يدعوني فأستجيب له ؟ من يسألني فأعطيه ؟ من يستغفرني فأغفر له ؟The nearest a servant come to his Lord is when he is prostrating himself
