Continuation of the Shaykh’s statement: May Allah guide you, I mentioned the awe of the educator, but some teachers understand that awe lies in harshness and beating, among other things.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He should be awe-inspiring, not harsh. Because the one who seeks to be awe-inspiring through harshness and beating will not be awe-inspiring. The students take advantage of his inattention at any moment and engage in play and disorder. But if he has a personality, meaning: he shows the students that he is a serious man who does not want to play, then it is sufficient for him to look at them with anger and remain silent, as if he is disapproving of what they are doing. By doing so, he strengthens his personality. As for beating, as we know, it is prohibited except when dire necessity calls for it. It is not what makes a person awe-inspiring, but rather it makes a person feared and not loved by people. However, awe is one thing and fear is another. Yes.
