Is it permissible for a woman to remove hair from all parts of her body, and is that considered adorning herself for her husband?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible for a woman to remove hair from all parts of her body, and is that considered adorning herself for her husband?

The Shaykh : The answer to this question is that we say that the removal of a woman's hair from her body is divided into three categories.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : The first category is forbidden, and its doer is cursed. That is plucking the hair of the face, such as plucking the eyebrows to thin them and lighten them. It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he
He cursed the one who plucks eyebrows and the one who has them plucked. لعن النامصة، والمتنمصة
.
The second category is hair whose removal is required, such as the hair of the armpits and the pubic area.
The third category is hair about which there is no specific text, such as the hair of the legs, arms, chest, and the like. In this third category, about which there is no specific text, it is better not to remove the hair, unless it is excessive and makes the woman look ugly, in which case there is no harm in thinning it. Indeed, if thinning it increases the husband's love for her, that is better and more preferable. However, if it is not excessive and does not disfigure her, it is better to leave it as it is, because it is feared that it may fall under the saying of Allah the Exalted regarding Satan:
and I will command them so they will change the creation of Allah وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلْقَ اللَّهِ
[An-Nisa 4:119]
But it does not reach the level of being disliked or forbidden, meaning the removal of hair from the legs, arms, chest, and the like does not reach the level of being disliked or forbidden, because there is no prohibition regarding it. It is among the matters about which there is no specific text, but it is better to leave it unless it makes the woman look ugly. Yes.
And on this occasion, I also warn some women, for whom Satan has made their evil deeds attractive, from leaving their nails long and growing them. Some of them grow only the nail of the little finger, because that is contrary to the fitrah (the innate natural disposition) and contrary to what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prescribed for his Ummah (the Muslim community). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prescribed for his Ummah regarding nails, pubic hair, armpit hair, and the mustache for men, that they should not be left for more than forty days. It is amazing that evil deeds are made attractive to a person, so he leaves these nails which collect dirt and bad odor, disfigure the appearance, and associate the man with imitating the Abyssinians, for the Abyssinians are those who grow their nails to be used as knives. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whatever cuts the blood flow and the name of Allah is mentioned over it, eat it, except the teeth and the nails, for the tooth is a bone, and the nail is the knife of the Abyssinians. ما أنهر الدم وذكر اسم الله عليه فكل إلا السن والظفر، فإن السن عظمٌ، والظفر مدى الحبشة
So it is not fitting for a person to do this, and the nail, pubic hair, armpit hair, and the mustache of a man should not be left for more than forty days. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you, esteemed Shaykh.
A message reached the program from Muhammad Uthman Philips, a teacher in northern Yemen, and he says in his message.
