The Shayatins are created from fire, namely the fire of scorching heat, and Allah has promised them the fire of the scalding spring, so how will their punishment be when they were created from fire? Is the fire in which they will be punished different from the one we know?

The questioner : The Shayatins are created from fire, namely the fire of scorching heat, and Allah has promised them the fire of the scalding spring, so how will their punishment be when they were created from fire? Is the fire in which they will be punished different from the one we know?

The Shaykh : The fire in which the Shayatins are punished is the same fire in which the disbelievers from the children of Adam are punished, and there is no difference between them. When a human being is created from a substance, it does not necessarily mean that he is that substance. Do you not see, O questioner, that you were created from clay? Are you clay?
It is known that the answer is no; a human being is not clay. Likewise, the Shayatins were created from fire, but they are not fire. If they are not fire, then they are bodies with the characteristics that Allah has endowed them with, and on the Day of Resurrection, they will be punished with fire.
