Is it permissible to taxidermy birds and place them in the home for the purpose of decoration?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it valid to taxidermy birds and place them in the home for the purpose of decoration?

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and the Imam of the Pious, and upon his family and all his Companions.
The basic principle is that taxidermy of birds, after they have been slaughtered according to the Shari'ah, is permissible. However, if it involves wasting money, it may be prohibited from this perspective, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
He forbade the wasting of wealth نهى عن إضاعة المال
And wasting money is spending it on something of no benefit.
As for when there is a benefit, such as showing people the creatures of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) that indicate the perfection of His power (Glorified and Exalted is He) and the perfection of His wisdom, then there is nothing wrong with it because of the benefit it contains. I fear that some people buy these taxidermied animals for a very high price, even though they may be shortchanging their families and those whose financial maintenance is obligatory upon them, leaving an obligatory matter for a matter that is not obligatory, but rather for a matter that involves nothing but the wasting of money.
