Sincerity in the pursuit of knowledge.

The Shaykh : First, seek it purely for the face of Allah, and second, so that you may act upon it. Beware of seeking knowledge for the sake of boasting and showing off, for this is a plague of this age. Most of those who author works are bent on publishing means of guidance, and it is very clear that they do not seek the face of Allah behind that. So, if Allah wills, you seek knowledge first for the face of Allah, and then to act upon what Allah has taught you. This is my advice to you and to every Muslim.
