What is the meaning of Allah the Exalted’s saying in the Qudsi Hadith: (So when I love him, I become the hearing with which he hears...)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : If you would be so kind, explain the meaning of the portion of the hadith in the Qudsi Hadith:
I become his sense of hearing with which he hears كنت سمعَه الذي يسمع به
Sahih al-Bukhari 6502
,
so I become his sense of hearing with which he hears فإذا أحبَبْتُه كنت سمعَه الذي يسمع به
Sahih al-Bukhari 6502
, the hadith. If you would be so kind, explain the last part of this hadith?

The Shaykh : Yes, "I become the hearing with which he hears." First, when we want to explain this hadith, we need to recall the attribute we mentioned, that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is above the Throne. So He is not mixed with the created things, nor is He contained in the created things, neither as a whole nor as a part. So when this hadith comes to us,
I become his sense of hearing with which he hears كنت سمعه الذي يسمع به
Sahih al-Bukhari 6502
, it means I was successful for him in his hearing and his sight, as if he hears with it and sees with it. And so it came in some narrations mentioned by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah,
I become his sense of hearing with which he hears كنت سمعه الذي يسمع به
Sahih al-Bukhari 6502
, meaning he hears with it, meaning: by His assistance, His success, His guidance, and the like. And so he sees. So there is no meaning here related to indwelling or union, as the extremists of the Sufis say. Rather, this meaning is explained in light of the Salafi creed, that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) rose above the Throne, and that He assists His sincere servants in their worship of Him, as if they were hearing with Him or seeing with Him.
