What is the ruling on a man who remains with his wife who had a relationship with another man, on the grounds that she has repented?

The questioner : A man, our Shaykh, on the same topic. A young man... some of the brothers saw it, and with firm certainty, that after he went to work, she would contact another young man. So they informed him, and the girl confessed. After she confessed, he stayed with her. He said: she has repented. And... what is the ruling on this?

The Shaykh : It depends on the husband's conviction. If she is sincere in her repentance, there is no harm in his keeping her; otherwise, he must divorce her.
