The Shaykh’s presentation of the arguments and evidence of those who divide religious innovations into good and bad.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Someone will inevitably say, or a questioner will ask, that the majority of scholars today hold that there is good in religious innovation and there is evil in it, so they must have some evidence. What is this evidence, and what is our response to it?
This is not a new matter; truth and falsehood are always in continuous conflict. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says:
(118) And if your Lord had willed, He could have made mankind one community; but they will not cease to differ. (119) Except whom your Lord has given mercy, and for that He created them. But the word of your Lord is to be fulfilled that, "I will surely fill Hell with jinn and men all together."
[Hud 11:118-119]
This difference is ongoing. Therefore, when a person brings up a doubt today, imagining it to be evidence, he has in reality not brought anything new. And when we refute this doubt, we have also not brought anything new, because we are preceded by this truth to which we call people. This is a favor of Allah upon us and upon people, but most people do not know.
