What is your opinion on the choice of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah; standing up for prostration of recitation?

The questioner : The position of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah is established on this point: the best thing for a person is to stand up?

The Shaykh : We are not Taymiyyis. If we were content to be Taymiyyis, we would have remained Hanafis. We say to Ibn Taymiyyah what we say to Abu Hanifah and others: Bring your evidence! Is there evidence? You are being asked now: Did you know of any evidence from him?

The questioner : No, no, I did not know.

The questioner : Is there evidence?

The Shaykh : Arguing with this verse is not clear at all; because a question arises now: When he fell prostrating, was he sitting or standing? So if he proved that he was sitting, then he stood up and fell prostrating; in that case, it is possible to argue with it, and without that, it is like spinning hemp!
