What is the ruling on collecting stamps that contain images of living beings?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original

The questioner : May I ask a question?

The Shaykh : Just one question, may Allah guide you.

The questioner : Some young men like to collect stamps; it is a hobby of theirs to collect stamps. For example, there are some stamps with pictures of people on them?

The Shaykh : Of course, it is not permissible at all. It is trading in idols. And peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings.
