The Shaykh’s explanation that religious innovations lead to one another.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : This is, as I say, the truth: calamities lead to one another, errors lead to one another, and religious innovations lead to one another, and so on. I mentioned this in some of my comments on some hadiths, and perhaps some of you remember this with me. It may have been in some of the hadiths that came regarding the virtue of praying with a turban; praying with a turban is seventy times better than praying without one. These hadiths are like the Book of Allah in our eyes in Damascus. You find the young man with a shaved beard and mustache and bare head entering the prayer, pulling a handkerchief from his pocket and wrapping it around his head. This is one of the etiquettes of prayer. Now, is this an Islamic etiquette? That a person does not walk with his head bare? Yes, this is an Islamic etiquette; a person does not walk with his head bare, and this is not only in prayer. So I said, what I fear most is that a time will come when they will also put fake beards in their pockets, and every time one of them enters the prayer, he puts on his fake beard. And the fake beard is in the style of the English lords. Evil leads to evil, and this is what I consider unlikely. And I said, here, when I brought in the unified adhan, what I fear most is that they will appoint a single unified imam who prays there in the mosque and they broadcast it, because the one who innovated this religious innovation will not find it difficult to bring in something like it, and so on.

The questioner : I have finished speaking on this.

The Shaykh : If you want me to end it, I will, because the hadith has many branches, but in my heart, I prefer you to continue.
