We hear about the Salafi movement in Egypt, especially in Alexandria. Among them is a man named Muhammad Isma'il. Did you meet him and know his creed, or do you have a comment on that?

The questioner : The short question you promised me: We hear about the Salafi movement in Egypt, especially in Alexandria. Among them is a man named Muhammad Isma'il. Did you meet him and know his creed, or do you have a comment on that?

The Shaykh : Yes, I met him during some of the Hajj seasons, and perhaps also in another place, maybe in Egypt. The important thing is that we know the brother is upon the Salafi methodology. However, we believe that it is not sufficient for Salafi preachers to be upon the Salafi methodology in general; they must be upon the Salafi methodology in detail.
