The Shaykh : Abu 'Ammar, my brothers, you should benefit from him, for he is a rare fruit. He is with you today, with you tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow he will return to Damascus. So listen to a word from him that you can benefit from. As for questions, that is your turn on the remaining days and on the days that have passed.
The questioner : But it is said, meaning, is it more important to have the sea? Do not perform tayammum when water is present, my brother.
The Shaykh : Excuse me, my brother, but the Exalted said, which is better than this word that runs like a proverb:[Al-Qasas 28:35].
al-Eid Abbasi : May Allah reward you with good, our teacher.
The Shaykh : So let me hear them a word about the da'wah, an advice regarding conduct, regarding the departure, anything that contains good, if Allah wills, for the listeners.
al-Eid Abbasi : If Allah wills, and by Allah, I ask your forgiveness if, meaning, I was in some verses, meaning, I said on this occasion, so I recite them before you.
The Shaykh : And a poet as well.
al-Eid Abbasi : And I am not a poet, but they are.
The Shaykh : Whispers.
al-Eid Abbasi : Whispers. I used to wish in my heart to meet our teacher after this long estrangement. Allah the Mighty and Majestic has fulfilled this wish, and to Him be praise and grace, first and last. I said:
"O soul, you have attained the desire, so rejoice with delight *** And praise Allah, for He has fulfilled the wish.
How many times I dreamed of meeting our guide *** So I might fill my eyes with his mirror and his eyelashes.
The days used to pass by me barren *** Desolate, harsh in terrors and calamities.
No knowledge, no lesson, no teacher I hear *** No pleasure of the soul, I mean these books.
Welcome to my teacher, the guide to the Sunnah *** Of the Chosen One, from the religion of Allah, which was bestowed.
All this, He has bestowed upon him from life *** Or strength or efforts, long as they were weary.
You are the Imam who has attained a rank *** That rivals the noble masters and the elite.
May my Lord reward you for guarding tawhid *** Defending it from the arrows of shirk and lies.
And you spread the beloved Sunnah, shining *** And demolish the foolish bid'ah, counting it as a good deed.
O supporter of the religion, the Lord of the Throne protects you *** From all evil, harm, and bad news.
Rise and renew the religion, for Islam is in sickness *** From what its sons have brought, it has become moaning.
It calls out, but no reformer rises up with me *** Is there not among you a wise one who removes the veils?
All principles are bankrupt by trial in salvation *** So why am I veiled from you?
They have disfigured me with shirk and philosophy *** And defiled me with innovations, as if it were a plague.
As for Sufism, it is the worst of all *** Gathered in it from every side and corner.
What do the enemies want? May their efforts fail *** From the guardian of the era, in whom Allah has taken delight.
It angered them that he spread tawhid in their homeland *** He responded to the caller of ignorance and drew near.
And that he realized the Sunnah of the Chosen One *** And refused to change the guidance of the best of messengers.
And that he supported the methodology of the predecessors *** With the strength of truth, until it became widespread or dominant.
And he put stones in the mouths of the unjust liars *** He cast upon every misguidance for them sparks.
The truth of the matter is that the truth angered them *** So whoever adopted the path of the Sunnah, they avoided.
And their aim is not to deny our scholar *** For if he agrees with them, he will become a pole tomorrow.
Our unique teacher, do not heed their war *** And do not care about those who opposed and raised their voices.
They will not reach their goal, however much they transgress and rebel *** For Allah will make the efforts of the envious dust.
Die of your anger, for I am confident *** That the truth will appear, however long it remains veiled.
Indeed, the Deity has decreed, and the matter is separate *** That the deluded falsehood and lies will be revealed.
This is the one who came with decisive text *** Its verses are the doubt of the doubter and the clouds.
It is the nature of those of our skin *** They envy the young man when he surpasses them in conduct.
Or he attains a share of success, so they are envious *** Or he comes seeking it, and everyone who desires it.
As they stirred up trouble in Damascus, the noble, in skin *** Against Ibn Taymiyyah, when he shook the pillars.
And how many times they stirred up the common people, and they inspire them *** How many times they incited the rulers and the necks against him.
They accused him falsely and unjustly of every defect *** They issued a ruling of his misguidance when they saw him young.
So he spent the night in their prison, complaining of his grievance *** They thought that with his killing, the light would fade.
But his ideas spread in every direction *** And became a guide to guidance and a foundation.
O brothers of the religion, indeed Allah has honored us *** With the call to truth at a time when we see wonders.
Where misguidance has prevailed and open sinfulness has dominated *** And the caller of tawhid has become an exile.
And my advice to you, my brothers, forever *** Is to be sincere for Allah, do not seek gold.
Be all together holding the rope of Allah, so hold fast *** And beware of the soul, do not follow the paths.
And acquire knowledge with diligence and perseverance *** And knowledge is confined to the revelation, so await.
And the guidance of your predecessors, do not seek a substitute for it *** And beware of desires and idle talk.
And join knowledge with deeds, for you *** If you do so, you will surpass the non-Arabs and the Arabs.
And beware of the trial of the world and its adornment *** And be just, whether the person is pleased or angry.
And ask Allah to preserve our brotherhood *** In the world, as long as the created desire or fear."
And peace be upon you.
