What is the detail regarding the means used in the human sciences about which we are speaking?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: Can I say ... regarding the means used in those sciences, that is what I intended.

The Shaykh: Go ahead.
Shuqara: It is known that the means used to explain, derive, and clarify those sciences are undoubtedly of two types: some are prescribed and some are not. For example, images are not prescribed except within known limits. For instance, the means called illustrative tools for these sciences include static and moving means. If the moving means are displayed, and they are displayed only through images, then we look at the original issue: does it require such an image? And is the issue that is intended to be explained and clarified inherently prescribed or not? At that point, the fate of this tool can be determined based on the answer to that issue which is required to be presented through the tool. As for static means, such as trees and other inanimate objects that such sciences require, I do not think there is anything in them that contradicts the Shari'ah, and Allah knows best.
