The means have the rulings of the ends

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
If following the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is one of the conditions for the acceptance of deeds, and we know that deeds whose benefit extends to others are not restricted to what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did, what is the jurisprudence of this issue? We see many people in their da'wah (calling to Islam) interspersing their sermons with a lot of joking and getting involved in politics or other matters that do not concern them. What is the correct jurisprudence of this issue?
The means have the rulings of the ends, and the means are not limited. A means today may not be a means tomorrow. As for the established acts of worship, it is not permissible to change them, neither by adding to them nor by subtracting from them. For example, what is the means to convey the Friday sermon to the mosque, even if it is large? The loudspeaker. We say: This is good and useful. Or the lines on the mosque carpet, these are also good, because they are a means to what? To straightening the rows. How much we used to suffer in the past before them in straightening the rows. Now, praise be to Allah, it has become a means to this required matter. And there are many examples of this.
And with this, this meeting ends, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
