Commentary on a paragraph that appeared in the article, namely his statement: "The limit for theft cannot be applied unless suitable employment is provided for the individual"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : To conclude, so that you may know the purpose of this introduction: for example, the limit for theft cannot be applied unless the individual secures suitable employment. In reality, this is not Islamic logic. In my opinion, this is socialist logic. This is what has entered the Muslims today due to the hammers of Europe, its writers, and its atheists. They say, "Until we provide the individual with what? Suitable employment." Is this the function of the Muslim state? That the Ministry of Economy should provide every Muslim individual with suitable employment? My brother, it is this individual who should secure this employment. The duty of the state is greater than what writers like these think, because they proceed from a mindset that is not purely Islamic, but rather the mindset of a materialist state, as if it exists on earth or in governance solely to secure material needs for every member of the state. Whereas Islam, why was it established? So that the word of Allah would be the highest and the word of those who disbelieved would be the lowest. Islam came to realize the purpose of the creation of the entire universe, as the Mighty and Majestic said:
And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. وما خلقت الجن والإنس إلا ليعبدون
[Adh-Dhariyat 51:56]
To realize the worship of Allah the Mighty and Majestic alone, governance was established in Islam.
