What is your opinion regarding a group of people who were in a wealthy country, but when they moved to a poor country, they did not adapt to this environment?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Abu Layla : Before this statement, I have said it once more.

The Shaykh : And say, "O Ghazi, go on an expedition?"

The questioner : May Allah reward you, O Shaykh. I ask Allah, Mighty and Majestic, that I be among those who go on expeditions in His path.

The Shaykh : But you!

The questioner : And you all, the entire audience.

The Shaykh : Generalize it, generalize it.

The questioner : What saddened me, O Shaykh, is that some of the brothers who came from Kuwait said, "By Allah, we never felt the sweetness of fasting Ramadan in this country at all." They explained to us that the cause was the extreme stinginess and miserliness found in the nature of the people of this country here, considering that in Kuwait previously, blessings were bestowed upon them from everything that moved and crawled. So what is your comment on such matters, and how can a person cultivate the spirit of faith in a poor country like this one?

The Shaykh : These brothers are mistaken because they used the analogy that jurists call "analogy with a difference." They were living, as you mentioned, in permanent comfort, so they compared the country they were forced to settle in, knowing the great difference between this country and their own country where they enjoyed all kinds of blessings. So, their statement is, in truth, something I see as very dangerous, first from two aspects: the first aspect is what you mentioned just now regarding this analogy with a difference.
