What is your advice for the Kuwaitis if war breaks out?

The questioner : How are you, Shaykh Nasser?

The Shaykh : I praise Allah to you, and how are you?

The questioner : By Allah, I am well. May Allah keep you safe and give you health.

The Shaykh : May Allah keep you safe.

The questioner : Is the time appropriate, Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Yes, exactly.

The questioner : Shaykh, this call of mine, may Allah reward you with good, I want to ask you, may Allah bless you, about our current circumstances. What do you advise us? Especially since war may break out. We want you to advise us, and if Allah wills, as students of knowledge, we ask Allah to make us sincere students of knowledge.

The Shaykh : May Allah bless that. That is the assumption.

The questioner : May Allah keep you safe, Shaykh Nasser. We would like advice from you, and may Allah reward you with all good.

The Shaykh : Before anything else, have you listened to some of the tapes in which my opinion is stated?

The questioner : Yes, I heard them from you, and here we are circulating them manually. The name of the two tapes is "The Rebellious Faction," for you, Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Based on what we said, we remain with what we said. And now, if the event occurs, my belief is that nothing of that will happen, and Allah knows best. But if the event occurs, we advise the Muslims, and the Muslim women even more so, to all stay in their homes, as came in the authentic hadith . I mentioned this hadith in more than one tape. That is because if fighting occurs, it will occur between Muslims, some of them against others, and the disbelievers will be watching them. And whichever of the two fighting factions wins, it is a victory for the disbeliever, because it involves the destruction of a large group of Muslims, whether they are from the faction whose origin is the rebellious faction, or from the other faction, which is the faction against whom rebellion is committed. So if fighting occurs, those whom Allah wills from both factions will perish, and that will be something the Crusaders have plotted and prepared for, who have occupied some of the Islamic lands today without any fighting. I was afraid to say "jihad" so I corrected myself and said "no jihad on their part." And therefore, without any fighting. If the battle were between a faction of Muslims and a faction or state of disbelievers, then we would say it is obligatory for every Muslim who is able to carry a weapon to go out with the people, and for the other gender, which is women, to participate in what is appropriate to their femininity, and they should not carry weapons and not mix with men, because this is not among the matters that Islam permits. But this is far from being realized, meaning that the fighting will not be between a disbeliever and a Muslim, but will be between the Muslims themselves. And therefore, whatever the Muslims can do to be far from such a battle, let them do it. I do not know if you were humming around what you intended in your mind when you posed your question in your words, or if you went further, so guide me so that I can cooperate with you?
