Refuting the lie that the Okaz newspaper fabricated against the Shaykh, then speaking about Iraq and Saudi Arabia (the mistakes they committed).

The Shaykh : I would have wished that the publisher of that false news would have investigated and known the truth about the person to whom that news was attributed. I am a man to whom Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) has granted the ability to speak the truth by which I worship Allah, without regard for a friend, a relative, or any of the things that people, or at least some people, take into consideration. If the Saudi state, with whom we share at least the creed of tawhid (the oneness of Allah), had invited me to attend that conference held in opposition to the one held by the Iraqis, if the Saudi state had invited me to their conference, I would not have attended, let alone attend the conference of the Iraqis, with whom we do not meet in the most noble of creeds as we meet with the Saudi state. But it is sufficient for me to remind you that in some of them, I explicitly stated that the Iraqi state is the rebel and the oppressor against the Kuwaiti state, and that if the Saudi state had wanted to fulfill the obligatory religious duty, it would have realized the saying of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He):
And if two factions among the believers should fight, then make settlement between the two. But if one of them oppresses the other, then fight against the one that oppresses until it returns to the ordinance of Allah و إن طائفتان من لمؤمنيناقتتلوا فأصلحوا بينهما فإن بغت إحداهما على الأخرى فقاتلوا الّتي تبغي حتّى تفيء إلى أمر الله
[Al-Hujurat 49:9]
I mentioned this and said, with regret...
