The Shaykh : The one or the ones who know this pure, white methodology are the Victorious Group about whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke in a mass-transmitted, established hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) through paths of definitive certainty, namely his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih Muslim 1920 Sahih al-Bukhari 71 Are they the vast majority of Muslims, or are they the small, victorious group? The hadith is explicit in this matter. Therefore, let not any of you be concerned with being with the majority, for Allah, Lord of the worlds, condemns the majority in most of the verses of the Noble Qur'an, such as His saying: [Al-A'raf 7:187] [Al-Baqarah 2:243] [Al-An'am 6:116] Therefore, it should be the concern of each of us to be among His few servants from the Victorious Group. What is the characteristic of this Victorious Group? Here is the crux of this speech: it is what was mentioned in the Hadiths of Strangeness. The Hadiths of Strangeness contain three authentic narrations. The first narration is in Sahih Muslim, narrated by Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him). He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2629Sahih (Darussalam) This is the hadith of Muslim. The second hadith is in the Musnad of Imam Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on him), where he mentioned this hadith and added a fine addition: a questioner asked, "Who are the strangers, O Messenger of Allah?" He said (peace and blessings be upon him): Look here: he praises the few and does not praise the many; rather, he condemns them. He said: So, among the characteristics of these strangers whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave glad tidings of with Tuba—and Tuba is a tree in Paradise under which a fast rider would travel for a hundred years without reaching its end—these are the strangers whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave this great glad tidings. He said: This characteristic should be a general characteristic of the strangers. As for the following characteristic, which is in the third hadith, it is a characteristic of the special ones among the strangers; it is a characteristic of the special ones among the strangers, meaning it is a characteristic of the scholars of the strangers. That is because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) answered that question, "Who are the strangers?" once, and then said (peace and blessings be upon him) on the other occasion: Mishkat al-Masabih 170Isnād Da'īf Jiddan (Zubair `Aliza'i) So, the term "strangers" means those who hold fast to the Book and the Sunnah and follow the methodology of the Salaf, meaning they are the saved sect. However, it is not necessary that every individual who is truly of the saved sect be a scholar. This is a very important point. Then, it is not necessary that every one who is of the saved sect and is also a scholar be a scholar of the Book and the Sunnah; he may be a scholar among the scholars who follow
A group of people from my Umma will always remain triumphant on the right path and continue to be triumphant (against their opponents). He who deserts them shall not be able to do them any harm. They will remain in this position until Allah's Command is executed (i.e. Qiyamah is established).
لا تزال طائفة من أمتي ظاهرين على الحق لا يضرهم من خالفهم حتى تقوم الساعةthey will not be harmed by any one going on a different path
لا يضرهم من خالفهمbut most of the people do not know."
ولكن أكثر الناس لا يعلمونbut most of the people do not show gratitude.
And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah
Indeed Islam began as something strange and it will return to being strange as it began. So Tuba is for the strangers.
They are a few righteous people among many people, of whom more disobey them than obey them
They are a few righteous people among many people, of whom more disobey them than obey them
They are a few righteous people among many people, of whom more disobey them than obey them
هم ناس قليلون صالحون بين ناس كثيرين من يعصيهم أكثر ممن يطيعهمthey will set right the corruptions caused in my sunna by people after my death
