The Shaykh’s remarks on the Tabligh Jama'ah and that they differ among themselves in creed and worship

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Let us return to the question and say: It is not that the Tabligh Jama'ah are the only Islamic groups that say with us, “The best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).” But we do not single out the Tabligh Jama'ah or others for mention, because the problem is general. Has the creed of this group, which has existed for a long time today, become unified? Have the individuals of the Tabligh Jama'ah unified their creed? Have they unified their worship? And so on. In my opinion, I say no, because you will find among them Hanafis, Shafi'is, Malikis, and Hanbalis, just as is found in groups other than the Tabligh Jama'ah. So there is no difference between this group and that group from this perspective. Likewise, you will find in the Tabligh Jama'ah that they actually lean toward adhering to the Book and the Sunnah, as we explained earlier. But there are no scholars among them who guide them to the Book and the Sunnah; rather, they pick up whatever they can from any scholar they believe has knowledge of the Book and the Sunnah. So as long as whoever guides them to the Book and the Sunnah, they follow that. Why? Because their creed is established that we must follow the Book and the Sunnah. But the majority of them are not like that. What is the reason? Because their idea is not unified, nor do they receive this unified idea from the same call they call the call of Tabligh.
