Continuation of the explanation of the hadith of Ibrahim ibn al-Ashtar, which is his saying: "And they placed their whips on their necks, hastening to him, so he said:

The Shaykh : And they placed their whips on their necks; the apparent meaning is that they hung the whips they used to drive their mounts on the mounts to hasten to him, so that they would head to where Abu Dharr was dying. He said, "And they placed their whips on their necks, hastening to him, so he said," meaning they came to him, and he said, "Rejoice, for you are the group about whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said what He said." Sahih Ibn Hibban 62:555 He points to this phrase. Then here there is also an omission, which is strange; I do not know if the author shortened it, and this is not the concern of the authors. The strange thing is that al-Haythami converged on it or followed him in it in Majma' al-Zawa'id. The text of this omission is after his saying, "For you are the group about whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said what He said: Rejoice, I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say," . This actually benefits us in that the Companions were eager to convey knowledge even in their last breath; otherwise, there would be no occasion for Abu Dharr to speak of such a hadith. Then here is another point: we know about the Companions that, along with their eagerness to convey knowledge to people, they believed and were careful not to spread hadiths related to encouragement. So one of them would not narrate such hadiths except to clear his conscience, and that was in the last breath of his life. This is the best example of that. In Sahih Muslim, when Mu'adh was given glad tidings by the Messenger (peace be upon him) in the well-known story that , Mu'adh did not narrate it except in the last of his life out of fear, meaning fear of falling into the sin of concealing knowledge. Similarly, others, such as 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit, as I recall, in Sahih Muslim also, and Abu Hurayrah also said, "Were it not for a verse in the Book of Allah, I would not have told you this hadith." He mentioned the verse [Al-Baqarah 2:159] to its end, and mentioned the hadith that whoever dies saying "There is no god but Allah" will enter Paradise. It is possible that Abu Dharr's narration of this hadith is from this category because it contains glad tidings. This is a very great glad tidings, and narrating it without clarification and commentary, as if one were to say, for example, this does not mean that he entered Paradise and did not enter the Fire at all, if he was a doer of ninety-nine [sins], he would not be punished for that and not held accountable, but the matter has details according to the person, according to the multitude of his sins. But such glad tidings, certainly, whoever is among their people will enter Paradise, and it is necessary. But who enters it after becoming in the Fire, hum hum, what?
The questioner : ... .
The Shaykh : Black scorching heat. And some of them enter the Fire, touched by a little of the punishment, then come out of it. And some of them do not feel it at all. We ask Allah to be among those latter ones. The point is that in this hadith is this very great glad tidings, so the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not narrate such things except in the last breath of their lives.
A group of believers will witness it
