Is it permissible for a woman to take clothing from her husband or her brother in order to pray in it, and are there parts of a woman's body that may be exposed during prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible for a woman to take clothing from her husband or her brother in order to pray in it? And are there parts of a woman's body that may be exposed during prayer?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible for a woman to wear a man's clothing, whether it is her husband's, her brother's, her father's, or her son's, because if she does so, she imitates men, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the women who imitate men. However, if she takes a garment from her husband, her father, or her son, knowing that they are pleased with it, and she uses it as a wrap over her chest, then there is nothing wrong with that. But if she wears it as a man would wear it, then it is forbidden for her. Even if she prays in it, many scholars say that her prayer is invalid because she prayed in clothing that is forbidden for her to wear.
