One who married in a land of disbelief and was blessed with children and remained there for years due to special circumstances: is it permissible for him to continue staying?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : I am mentioning some of the questions... so is it permissible for him... America

The Shaykh : I think this question came late. How did he stay there for such a long period and only now come to ask, after the offspring have arrived, and perhaps he cannot leave with them, as we hear? He is between leaving his children and wife there, and with time they may prevail, or staying there and living with those people who are living in hell from that cursed day. In this case, in reality, we cannot say to him that it is permissible to stay there; because the original ruling is that the American or European disbeliever, if Allah the Exalted guides him to Islam, should migrate from those lands to the Islamic lands. Now the reality is the opposite; it is not our concern now to go into the details that some people are forced by political aspects; but we know that many of those called immigrants migrated not because of political expulsion, but in pursuit of wealth. So if these people travel there, live, and have offspring, and now after this long time, is it permissible for them to stay there? The answer is that their going there in the first place was a mistake, and what is built on a mistake is a mistake. Now the problem is complicated such that it does not justify the questioner saying that he must return to his Islamic country, or that he should stay there with his family out of concern for the safety of the children's Islamic upbringing. Therefore, if this person is truly a Muslim, let him do what many people do: he studies the situation he is in from all angles, free from thinking about material interests, and then he proceeds to what our Lord opens his chest to.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good. What is happening now is that many brothers get married and go... America... they live in an atmosphere... so is it possible... the work...

The Shaykh : By Allah, if it is known among the scholars that the fatwa is according to the text, then if the text is as you stated in your words, the answer is yes. But do you think the question accepts discussion or not? For example, you said just now that the atmosphere is one hundred percent Islamic; this cannot be the case.

The questioner : ... approximately ... among many of the brothers who went to America...

The Shaykh : No problem, my brother, but these people in this mosque, I mean, they are living on Islamic rulings one hundred percent. I am not saying fifty percent, the good is more... This doctor, I know him, because it is not possible, I am saying it with exaggeration.

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : This is a doctor, the doctor whose book you presented to me, what Allah willed, meaning a noble Salafi man, but you cannot testify that he is a Muslim if you do not know him personally. What is the reason? Even, glory be to Allah, after he left me, it occurred to me that if he called me on the phone, I would advise him with this advice. He grows a magnificent, great beard, and he is a handsome young man, white-skinned and black-haired, bare-headed and wearing a tie. This is the atmosphere he lives in there. We used to suggest to him that he wear a white cap, similar to thisThe Shaykh : Ahmad, whom you saw, Ahmad Deedat, do you see? Because this has become a sign for the Muslim to distinguish him from the society he lives in. So it is very difficult for a person when he leaves an Islamic environment and lives there on Islamic traditions; it is difficult. The difficulty comes from two aspects: from an academic aspect, meaning the issue needs people from the scholars who are well-versed in Islam from all its angles, and they are the ones who take charge of guiding the group with a complete and correct Islamic guidance. This is the first difficulty. The second difficulty is from an educational aspect; this is very difficult for the Muslims themselves if they have not been accustomed to this lifestyle in their homeland and in Islamic lands.
