What is the description of the forbidden gold bracelet?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Please go ahead.

The questioner : Regarding the gold bracelet, is it a necessary condition for the gold bracelet to be completely closed?

The Shaykh : No, that is not a condition. The condition is that it must be a bracelet that stays on the wrist.

The questioner : I mean, if for example this is gold and there is a piece of silver separating it, does it remain a bracelet?

The Shaykh : The criterion is what predominates. So, if it is an open bracelet here, as you see, instead of the silver gemstone as I said, there is no piece like this, but it is a bracelet, yet this bracelet is not a complete circle; it is incomplete, two centimeters, the important thing is that it is a bracelet that encircles the wrist, so it is a bracelet, and therefore it is not permissible. And in this case, there is no difference between this bracelet that does not complete a full circle and a bracelet that completes a full circle, but the one that completes it is permissible, such as silver, for example. So the result is the same, and the reverse is the reverse, meaning if the bracelet is predominantly silver and the connecting part is gold, it is permissible; because it is not a bracelet of gold.
