What is your opinion regarding jihad in Eritrea, and what is your advice to them?

Al-Halabi : A questioner asks, saying: Just as the Afghan jihad is exposed to fitnah (trial, discord or temptation), so too is the jihad in Muslim Eritrea exposed to the fitnah of siege and restriction, particularly from a neighboring Muslim country, namely Sudan, and its numerous Islamic groups. The Shaykh : The truth is that we do not know the details of this jihad as we know the details of the Afghan jihad. Therefore, if they are like the Afghan jihad in that they aim to establish an Islamic state, it is not permissible, of course, for any Muslim people not to be with them, just as is the case with the Afghans. Islam does not distinguish between one people and another. Any people who raise the banner of Islam and declare jihad in the path of Allah to establish the rule of Allah on earth, it is obligatory for all Muslims in every land of the world to be their supporters, as we have always said and will always say regarding the Afghan jihad.
