The questioner : The honorable Shaykh.

The Shaykh : You want to record something, meaning an introduction... Indeed, praise is to Allah; we praise Him, seek His help, and seek His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our souls and the badness of our deeds. Whom Allah guides, none can mislead, and whom He misleads, none can guide. And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His messenger.
O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].
[Ali 'Imran 3:102]
O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
[An-Nisa 4:1]
(70) O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. (71) He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.
[Al-Ahzab 33:70-71]
As for what follows, the best of speech is the speech of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). The worst of matters are those newly invented, and every newly invented matter is an innovation, every innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire. After that, one of the methods mentioned in the Book and the Sunnah for acquiring knowledge is asking about what concerns the Muslim regarding matters of his religion and understanding the Shari'ah of his Lord (Blessed and Exalted is He). This is as in the saying of the Mighty and Majestic:
So ask the people of the message if you do not know.
[An-Nahl 16:43]
And as in the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) in the hadith mentioned in some of the Sunan, such as Sunan Abu Dawud (may Allah have mercy on him), from the hadith of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), regarding the story of the man who had a wound on his head and was fighting alongside some of the Companions against the disbelievers. Then he had a wet dream one night. When morning came and he realized he had had a wet dream, but he had wounds on his body from some of those battles, he asked the Companions around him if they found a dispensation for him not to perform the full ritual bath due to his wounds. They issued a ruling that he had to perform the bath. He complied with their ruling and performed the bath, and that was his death and destruction. When it reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family)—and may Allah have mercy on you—his death in this state, he answered them or said (peace and blessings be upon him):
They killed him; may Allah kill them. Did they not ask when they were ignorant? Indeed, the cure for ignorance is asking.
The point is, then he said (peace and blessings be upon him) in the completion of the hadith, which is established by a total of two chains or more:
It was enough for him to perform tayammum
Sunan Abi Dawud 336
The point of the hadith is that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) taught people the obligation to ask the people of knowledge, applying the previous verse:
So ask the people of the message if you do not know.
[An-Nahl 16:43]
Accordingly, we have proceeded in many of our gatherings to receive questions from some of our brothers present, so that we may direct the answer to them if we have any knowledge about them. Accordingly, if any of our brothers present have some questions, I hope to hear them so that we may cooperate with some of the professors present in answering them, if Allah wills (Blessed and Exalted is He)... If you write the questions, that is perhaps better. If it is not possible to direct the question directly, there is no harm in that. Please.
