The Shaykh : There is nothing wrong with it if the sale contract is one of the permissible contracts. If a person intermediates between the seller and the buyer for a fee, whether the fee is stipulated verbally or stipulated by custom, there is no blame on him, because this is one of the ways of earning a livelihood.
However, if he intermediates between two parties in a forbidden sale, then that is not permissible, because this falls under the category of assisting in sin and transgression. And Allah Blessed and Exalted is He said:[Al-Ma'idah 5:2].
