The Obligation of Describing Allah the Exalted with Attributes of Perfection and Affirming His Oneness

The Shaykh : This is part of the completion of tawhid (the oneness of Allah), which we described as pure tawhid, that we believe that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) possesses all attributes of perfection. We do not truly believe in Allah by His essence unless we describe Him with what He has described Himself with, whether in tawhid al-rububiyyah (oneness of lordship), tawhid al-uluhiyyah (oneness of worship)—excuse me—tawhid al-rububiyyah, tawhid al-uluhiyyah, or tawhid al-asma' wa al-sifat (oneness of the names and attributes).
