The Shaykh: Peace be upon you.
The questioner : And upon you be peace and the mercy of Allah.
The Shaykh : The sound is being heard.
The questioner : The sound is being heard, yes. May Allah keep you in goodness.
The Shaykh : Welcome. May Allah keep you in goodness and bless you. We have entered the evening, and the kingdom belongs to Allah, and all praise is due to Allah.
The questioner : May Allah preserve you. We currently have a group of young men, numbering more than a hundred or more.
The Shaykh : What Allah willed.
The questioner : And they are from different countries, from the Gulf states, Bahrain, Kuwait, Libya, Algeria, and from the regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Shaykh : Yes, please. Complete your sentence.
The questioner : May Allah keep you safe, O Shaykh. First, before starting with the questions, or the two questions.
The Shaykh: Yes.
The questioner : The young men, as you see, we are in this time.
The Shaykh: Yes.
The questioner : In the greatest need for guidance from scholars of the people of the Sunnah and the community like you. They want to draw near to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) with beneficial knowledge and righteous deeds. They want from your excellence, first, a word on this topic. May Allah keep you safe?
The Shaykh : We ask Allah to help us.
The questioner: Amen.
The Shaykh : And to guide us and you to what He loves, namely beneficial knowledge and righteous deeds. Is there anything else?
The questioner : We want, O Shaykh, a word, meaning.
The Shaykh: All right.
The questioner : Meaning, as you know, O Shaykh, now, meaning... one may be confused by what he sees in the arena regarding differences in opinions, methodologies, and ideas. So we need advice from your excellence.
The Shaykh : We seek help from Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), and we say to you and those around you: Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
The questioner : And upon you be peace, and Allah's mercy and blessings.
The Shaykh: Indeed, all praise is due to Allah; we praise Him, seek His help, and seek His forgiveness. And we seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our souls and from our bad deeds. Whom Allah guides, there is no one who can misguide him, and whom He leaves to misguide, there is no one who can guide him. And I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His messenger.[Ali 'Imran 3:102] [An-Nisa 4:1] [Al-Ahzab 33:70-71] As for what follows, the best of speech is the speech of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). And the worst of matters are their innovations, and every innovation is a religious innovation, and every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire. And after that, O our brothers who are listening to my words, I ask Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) to guide us all to following the Book and the Sunnah upon the methodology of the Righteous Predecessors (may Allah be pleased with them). And I draw your attention to the necessity of adhering to this last condition, namely my saying "upon the methodology of the Righteous Predecessors." That is because the Book and the Sunnah is the methodology of every Muslim who truly believes in Allah and His Messenger, even those misguided sects that claim to belong to Islam. And we cannot exclude them from the circle of Islam unless they deny something known from the religion by necessity. So I say, in order for the Muslim to be truly upon the Book and the Sunnah and not be among those misguided sects that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) referred to in the authentic hadith narrated by the authors of the Sunan and Imam Ahmad and others, with various chains and similar wordings, namely his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): .

O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].
يا أيها الذين آمنوا اتقوا الله حق تقاته و لا تموتن إلا و أنتم مسلمونO mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
يا أيها الناس اتقوا ربكم الذي خلقكم من نفس واحدة و خلق منها زوجها و بث منهما رجالا كثيرا و نساء و اتقوا الله الذي تساألون به و الأرحام إن الله كان عليكم رقيبا(70) O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. (71) He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.
يا أيها الذين آمنوا اتقوا الله و قولوا قولا سديدا يصلح لكم أعمالكم و يغفر لكم ذنوبكم و من يطع الله و رسوله فقد فاز فوزا عظيماThe Jews divided into seventy-one sects, and the Christians divided into seventy-two sects, and my Ummah will divide into seventy-three sects, all of them in the Fire except one. They said: Who are they, O Messenger of Allah? He said: It is what I am upon and my Companions.
