A vision seen by Abu al-Hasan and related to Shaykh al-Albani.

The questioner : My Shaykh, regarding the fact that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) granted me the favor of coming to you, and I strengthened my resolve in this matter, on the last night, while I was sleeping in my house before dawn, I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in a dream. I saw him in my house, and a great gathering of Muslims was present with him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was speaking to them while sitting on my right, and I was on his left. He was addressing them; what I remember of his speech was about the call (da'wah), about the message, and about the matter of the call. All the speech was about the call. I do not remember the details now, but the speech was about the call!

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : And there was a man in the gathering whom I know, one who opposes the Salafi call and hates its people, and his heart is filled with hatred toward it. I know him, and I know his name, his father's name, and his grandfather's name. We ask Allah to cover us and all Muslims. The Shaykh : Amen.

The questioner : So the man and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) were sitting and talking. He was not sitting calmly in the gathering; he was sitting by the door, in the posture of one who is ready to rush.

The Shaykh : Not at ease.

The questioner : Not at ease in his sitting; he was in a hurry, in a crouching position, my Shaykh, a crouching position, and he was by the door, even though there was space in the gathering if he had moved closer to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). After the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished his speech, the man stood up and complained to him about me, saying to him—and I do not remember exactly what he said, he said, "O Messenger of Allah," or what, I do not remember. He was saying, "This one who is in your house, who is sitting with you and close to you, he interrupts us, boycotts us, and speaks about us, saying and saying." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned to his left to look at me, to see what my response would be to what he had heard. I said to him, "O Messenger of Allah, how can I not interrupt him when he stabs at your justice? I swear to Allah, I do not know that I said this word about those who oppose the Salafi call in a waking state, but Allah placed it on my tongue in the dream. I have never said it in a waking state, not once, that these people stab at the justice of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). But it means that they must abandon the Sunnah, distance themselves from the Sunnah, not give it any consideration, and not do it at all. When it is said, 'Allah said, the Messenger of Allah said,' they do not care about it. And when it is said, 'So-and-so said, so-and-so said,' their chest opens up. I expressed that in the dream as stabbing at your justice. So I said to him, 'How can I not do it when he stabs at your justice, O Messenger of Allah?' So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) turned.

The Shaykh : I mean, is this a dream that is said to be a waking state? Yes.

The questioner : But this is a correct interpretation, my Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Correct.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. I swear to Allah, I do not know that I said it in a waking state on any day, but Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) placed it on my tongue, so I spoke it. After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned to him. Regarding the truth of this, is this what the man is saying about you? Is this a reality in my justice? The man stood up and took his weapon, as is the custom in the Yemeni lands, that whoever wants to appeal to the Shari'ah says, "This is a rifle, this rifle drives me to the Shari'ah of Allah, take me to the Shari'ah of Allah." It is a euphemism among the common people there for being submissive to the judgment. And if I said to the man, "You are doing such and such," or "You are accusing me of such and such," he said, "This is to prove it. I will prove this. I will place it behind me to prove it." For this is the custom of the lands there. So when I said to him that he stabs at your justice, he stood up from his distant place and moved closer to him, and placed his janiyah, this knife or dagger that is placed here, called the janiyah, he placed the janiyah between his hands. He said, "I will prove this." He did not deny it, and he did not accuse me of lying about him or fabricating against him. He said, "I will prove this thing."

The Shaykh: Allahu Akbar.

The questioner : And he placed the janiyah between the hands of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then he turned to sit in his place, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was looking at him with a look of surprise and anger. Then I woke up to the first adhan for Fajr. I woke up and could not control myself from crying; something surged in my soul, so I cried.

The Shaykh : This is a righteous vision, if Allah wills.

The questioner : This was the last night I spent in my house while I was coming to you on this blessed journey.

The Shaykh : You are welcome.

The questioner : I ask Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) to benefit me with it and to benefit my brothers with it.

The Shaykh : May Allah benefit all Muslims through you.

The questioner : O Allah, amen.
