Seeing Allah in a dream

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Can one see Allah in a dream?
Indeed, Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) knows what He revealed to His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Qur'an is the speech of Allah, as if Allah is addressing you with it.As Allah the Mighty and Majestic said:
and We have sent down to you a clear light.وَأَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ نُوراً مُبِيناً
[Al-Nisa: 174] This is sufficient for you instead of seeing Allah. Seeing Allah in this world while awake is not possible. Even Musa (peace be upon him), who was among the resolute messengers, when he asked Allah to see Him,Allah said to him:
You will not see Me.لَنْ تَرَانِي
[Al-A'raf: 143] meaning: you cannot endure seeing Him.Then He gave him an example and said:
but look at the mountain; if it should remain in place, then you will see Me." But when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He rendered it levelانْظُرْ إِلَى الْجَبَلِ فَإِنِ اسْتَقَرَّ مَكَانَهُ فَسَوْفَ تَرَانِي فَلَمَّا تَجَلَّى رَبُّهُ لِلْجَبَلِ جَعَلَهُ دَكّاً
[Al-A'raf: 143] The mountain became like sand. At that time, Musa fell unconscious, and he knew that he was not able to see Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
As for seeing Him in a dream, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw his Lord in a dream, as in the hadith of the dispute of the highest assembly. As for anyone other than the Messenger, it is mentioned that Imam Ahmad saw his Lord. And Allah knows best whether this is correct or not. But we do not need to see Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for guidance. Our need is to read His speech and act upon what is in it, as if He is addressing us. For this reason, Allah mentioned that He sent down the Book to Muhammad and sent it down to us as well, so that we may act upon it. Do not occupy yourself with these matters, for you will not reach a satisfactory result. You must stick to the Book and the Sunnah and act upon what is in them.
