Is it possible to establish a righteous society without these societies?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Very good. Working to establish the society from which this person emerges, or through which he is found. You agree with me that it is very difficult in this time and in this reality to address, ask about, inquire into, and reconcile regarding a reality that is not permissible. Our reality is very difficult. How do you work now to establish this society? The directions have multiplied and the movements have multiplied, to the point that a single movement has split within itself into many movements, correct? So how do you work?

The Shaykh : Not correct, a hundred percent correct.

The questioner : And all of them claim that they are on the right path. So I truly want to clarify, by looking at our current reality precisely, and the reality of the Islamic lands and the Islamic movements?

The Shaykh : This answer of yours will be a bit strange initially, but you will find it correct. Do you know what Imru' al-Qays said to his companion?
My companion wept when he saw the road ahead of him, and he was certain that we would be overtaken by Qays.
So I said to him, do not weep, O eye, for we are only striving for a kingdom, or we die and are excused.
The Shaykh: What do you think of this speech that came from a person of the pre-Islamic age of ignorance? He was striving for worldly kingship, but look at what he says:
We are only striving for a kingdom, or we die and are excused.
The Shaykh: Either we obtain the kingdom, or we die and we are excused. This is speech from the pre-Islamic age of ignorance, and he placed it in a worldly matter. We place it in a religious matter. I mean by this, with some clarification: We are not able to establish, we are not able to solve the problem that you described a side of, when you mentioned the parties and the factions, and what you did not mention, for example, the surrounding colonial states, some directly and some ideologically, and so on. We are not able, with our weakness and our poverty and our lack, we are not able to solve the problem. But it is upon us to strive, and here is the point, and success is from Allah. It is upon us to strive to return ideologically to what was before fourteen centuries. If we imagine the weakness of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions in terms of numbers and equipment, and we also recall the strength of the two great states at that time, which resemble the two great states today, Persia and Rome, did it occur to anyone that this small group, few in number and equipment, could defeat the two great states? This is impossible in terms of material calculations, correct or not?

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : Therefore, the Muslim does not limit his thinking only to the material causes that he must take; therefore, I said that we must take the causes. As for eliminating the problem, it is not by our taking the causes. There is something from behind the unseen that will certainly come, by the true promise of Allah when He said:
if you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet. إن تنصروا الله ينصركم ويثبت أقدامكم
[Muhammad 47:7]
The mistake that many young Muslims make is that they think with Western thinking, meaning they think materially: how can this nation, which is divided against itself and controlled as we mentioned earlier, which is known to you, return to its glory?
The answer:
if you support Allah, He will support you إن تنصروا الله ينصركم
[Muhammad 47:7]
It is not by our strength, but by the strength of Allah the Exalted, which cannot be overcome. But this does not mean that we remain weak in material and meaning. No:
And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy وأعدوا لهم ما استطعتم من قوة ومن رباط الخيل ترهبون به عدو الله وعدوكم
[Al-Anfal 8:60]
If the matter is easy and difficult, it is easy if we take the cosmic and religious causes, and we are not intimidated by this huge hostile number against these divided Muslims. Because history repeats itself. The meaning of this phrase:
the established way of Allah with those who passed on before; and you will not find in the way of Allah any change. سنة الله ولن تجد لسنة الله تبديلا
[Al-Ahzab 33:62]
.
The Shaykh: From what came in the Qur'an:
[They continued] until, when the messengers despaired and were certain that they had been denied, there came to them Our victory, and whoever We willed was saved حتى إذا استيأس الرسل وظنوا أنهم قد كذبوا جاءهم نصرنا فنجي من نشاء
[Yusuf 12:110]
The messengers are these, so what about us? But it is upon us to take the causes and rely upon the Lord of lords. We do not sit thinking about the causes. What can we do in relation to these two great states? Can we overpower them? Can we defeat them? No, we are not able if we rely on ourselves. But if we rely on our Lord and on the rulings of His Shari'ah which He commanded us with, there is no doubt that Allah the Exalted will support us, because Allah does not break His promise.

The questioner :
and incumbent upon Us was support of the believers. وكان حقا علينا نصر المؤمنين
[Ar-Rum 30:47]
.

The Shaykh: Yes, that is it.
