What is the ruling on prolonging the takbir by the imam when rising to stand?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling on prolonging the takbir by the imam during the final sitting?

The Shaykh : It is a Shafi'i innovation with no basis in the Prophetic Sunnah. It is one of the most extreme things they do, but I have seen it here, and it has become a thing of the past, praise be to Allah. When he raises his head from the second prostration in the first rak'ah and intends to rise from it to the second rak'ah, here, according to the Shafi'is who hold to this innovation, they have a resting sitting. So he raises his head and says, "Allahu Akbar," and he continues saying it the whole time. This is because, once he has passed the resting sitting, he must prolong it until he is standing.
